Job Description:
A Business Development Manager for Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving company growth by identifying new opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and executing sales strategiesKey duties include market research, lead generation, creating proposals, negotiating deals, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to align strategies and achieve revenue targets. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and track progress using CRM tools. 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Identify and research opportunities: 
    Conduct market research to find new business opportunities, target markets, and potential clients. 
     
  • Lead generation: 
    Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, and collaboration with marketing teams. 
     
  • Build and maintain relationships: 
    Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients and partners. 
     
  • Develop proposals and strategies: 
    Create customized business proposals, pitches, and strategic sales plans. 
     
  • Negotiate and close deals: 
    Lead negotiations, draft agreements, and close strategic deals to drive revenue growth. 
     
  • Collaborate with teams: 
    Work with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure goals are aligned and strategies are cohesive. 
     
  • Track progress: 
    Maintain detailed records of interactions using CRM tools and prepare reports on progress and targets. 
     
  • Stay informed: 
    Keep up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. 
     
  • Attend events: 
    Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings. 
     
Required skills and qualifications
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to devise innovative business development strategies and analyze market data. 
     
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills. 
     
  • Negotiation: Proven negotiation skills to close deals and build partnerships. 
     
  • Relationship management: Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships. 
     
  • Project management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and organizational skills. 
     
  • Technical proficiency: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other relevant business development tools.
