Job Description:

The Commis I (Continental) is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality continental dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff. The role demands precision, creativity, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook continental dishes such as pasta, steaks, grills, salads, and soups.

  • Ensure food preparation and presentation is up to standard and consistent.

  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen management.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.

  • Assist in the receiving and storage of food supplies.

  • Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in kitchen operations.

  • Minimize waste and contribute to cost control.

  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).

  • Stay updated with current continental food trends and techniques.
