Job Description:
The Commis I (Continental) is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality continental dishes under the guidance of senior kitchen staff. The role demands precision, creativity, and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook continental dishes such as pasta, steaks, grills, salads, and soups.

Ensure food preparation and presentation is up to standard and consistent.

Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen management.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.

Assist in the receiving and storage of food supplies.

Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in kitchen operations.

Minimize waste and contribute to cost control.

Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).

Stay updated with current continental food trends and techniques.
