Job Description:
A field maintenance manager's job involves leading a team to perform maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment, ensuring safety compliance, managing budgets, and overseeing preventive maintenance programs. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management:Supervise, train, and motivate maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Maintenance Planning & Execution:Develop and implement maintenance strategies, oversee preventive maintenance schedules, and manage emergency and corrective maintenance actions.

Budget & Cost Control:Create and manage maintenance budgets, monitor expenses, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.

Safety & Compliance:Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, health policies, and environmental standards to maintain a safe work environment.

Equipment & Facility Upkeep:Monitor the condition of facilities and equipment, conduct inspections, and coordinate repairs and upgrades to maximize operational efficiency and output.

Vendor & Contractor Management:Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts for maintenance work and managing their services.

Data & Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, logs, equipment inventory, and use data analysis to improve processes and predict future issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field like Engineering, Facilities Management, or Business Administration, though relevant experience can sometimes substitute for a degree.

Experience:Proven work experience in maintenance management or a similar supervisory role, often with a minimum of 5 years.

Technical Knowledge:Sound understanding of various systems such as electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.

Leadership Skills:Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance professionals.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to analyze data, identify trends, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop effective solutions.

Organizational Skills:Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various projects and schedules simultaneously.
