Job Description:
A sales executive in the fabricated metal industry is responsible for driving sales by developing and maintaining customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and promoting the company's fabricated metal products and servicesKey duties include identifying leads, preparing quotes, negotiating, collaborating with production, and understanding market trends. This role requires excellent communication, a strong understanding of the products, and the ability to meet or exceed sales quotas. 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Sales and business development: 
    Generate sales inquiries, prepare competitive quotations, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets. 
     
  • Customer relationship management: 
    Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers by providing expert guidance on fabricated products and services. 
     
  • Market analysis: 
    Gather market feedback and analyze industry trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies. 
     
  • Sales strategy: 
    Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales goals and increase market share. 
     
  • Collaboration: 
    Work with internal teams, such as production, to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction. 
     
  • Presentation and representation: 
    Deliver compelling presentations to customers and represent the company at industry events and trade shows. 
     
  • Reporting: 
    Prepare sales reports and forecasts, and provide feedback to management on market opportunities and challenges. 
     
Required skills and qualifications
  • Experience in sales, preferably within the fabricated metal or steel industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of fabricated metal products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed to meet clients and attend events.
