Assistant Manager – Human Resources

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Assistant Manager – Human Resources to strengthen our people function and drive key HR initiatives across the organisation. The role involves managing the full HR spectrum—ranging from recruitment and policy implementation to employee engagement, performance management, and compliance.
The ideal candidate should bring hands-on HR experience, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry, and demonstrate strong interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Planning & Coordination
- Drive end-to-end recruitment across technical, project, and support functions.
- Partner with department heads to forecast manpower requirements and develop hiring strategies.
- Coordinate interview schedules, manage offer rollouts, and ensure smooth onboarding.
- Maintain recruitment MIS and ensure adherence to hiring timelines and budget parameters.
- Policy & Process Creation
- Formulate and standardise HR policies, frameworks, and SOPs aligned with organisational goals.
- Ensure policy communication and compliance across business verticals.
- Continuously review and enhance processes for operational efficiency.
- Performance Management & Review
- Drive the annual and mid-year performance appraisal process.
- Work with department heads to set performance metrics, KPIs, and competency benchmarks.
- Support the implementation of performance improvement and career development initiatives.
- Employee Engagement, Retention & Grievance Management
- Design and execute structured employee engagement programs to foster a positive work culture.
- Analyse engagement data to identify trends and drive retention strategies.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries and grievances, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
- Promote open communication and an inclusive work environment that aligns with organisational values.
- HR Compliance & Statutory Adherence
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory obligations.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, and statutory registers.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for HR-related compliance.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience in the renewable energy, EPC, or manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, statutory compliance, and performance management systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Hands-on experience in HRMS and data-driven HR reporting.
