Job Description:
An amusement park HR manager is responsible for managing all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and compliance with labor laws. Key duties include setting up HR operations, handling daily HR tasks like attendance and scheduling, managing performance and payroll, and ensuring a positive employee culture through engagement programs and conflict resolution. The role requires experience in large-scale operations like hospitality or retail and a strong understanding of HR systems and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Recruitment and staffing: Oversee all aspects of hiring, from sourcing and screening to onboarding, to ensure the park is adequately staffed across all departments.
- Employee relations: Act as a liaison between management and employees, handling grievances, disciplinary processes, and general concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
- Compliance and safety: Ensure 100% compliance with all labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies. This includes managing audits and safety protocols.
- Training and development: Lead employee induction, training, and development programs to build capabilities and improve performance.
- Performance management: Oversee the performance review process, including appraisals and feedback, to drive peak performance.
- Daily HR operations: Manage day-to-day HR functions such as payroll, attendance, shift planning, and rostering.
- Employee engagement: Drive programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and overall company culture.
- Budgeting and reporting: Prepare and manage the HR budget and provide regular reports on key metrics like attrition, manpower, training, and engagement.
Required skills and experience
- Proven experience as an HR Manager in a large-scale environment such as hospitality or retail.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, including recruitment, payroll, and benefits.
- Expertise in labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
