Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven Commercial Strategy & Execution Manager to directly support the Director in driving sales growth, operational efficiency, and business expansion across both domestic and export markets.
Think of this role as the quarterback on the field, executing strategy, coordinating departments, analyzing data, solving day-to-day challenges, and ensuring smooth functioning of all commercial activities.
This is a cross-functional role requiring strong analytical skills, market understanding, commercial acumen, and excellent coordination abilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Data Analysis & Business Growth (Domestic + Export)
- Analyze weekly sales data for all business units (poultry, ruminant, aquaculture).
- Identify trends, gaps, underperforming SKUs, and growth opportunities.
- Prepare actionable insights and strategies to increase sales.
- Analyze export-import data to identify new product opportunities & new geographies.
- Assist in planning and executing market-entry strategies for export markets.
2. Competitive Benchmarking & Strategic Pricing
- Conduct competitive benchmarking for pricing, product range, and positioning.
- Recommend pricing strategies for local and international markets.
- Assist in pricing & margin planning for new product launches and tenders.
- Maintain updated competitor intel sheets.
3. Technical & Sales Backend Support
- Support the sales team with:
- Product presentations
- Brochures and literature
- Farm trials & trial reports
- Scientific reviews
- Best practice dissemination meetings
- Coordinate smoothly with teams handling poultry, ruminants & aquaculture customers.
4. Digital Enquiry & Export Coordination
- Monitor and respond to all online enquiries from email, website, and third-party portals.
- Support the Export Manager by:
- Following up with international clients
- Providing technical clarifications
- Managing sample requests
- Ensuring timely documentation and shipment coordination
5. HR & Sales Staff Coordination
- Coordinate with the HR team to ensure all HR documents for sales staff are handled on time:
- Joining kits
- Relieving letters
- Monthly attendance, leave records, policy compliance
- Track performance KPIs of the sales team and flag delays or issues.
6. Accounts, Payments & Vendor Coordination
- Work with the Accounts team to ensure:
- Vendor payments are released on time
- Customer payments are collected before credit period expiry
- Reminders (email/calls) are executed as per timelines
- Maintain credit control trackers.
7. Marketing & Digital Presence
- Coordinate with the graphics/content team to ensure consistent social media activity.
- Review content accuracy, product relevance, and posting calendar.
- Coordinate with website developers to ensure smooth functioning and timely updates.
- Oversee product catalog updates.
8. Supply Chain & Import Coordination
- Track all import data, shipment schedules, and stock levels.
- Help create demand forecasts for international vendors.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance for imports.
9. Trade Shows, Events & Exhibitions
- Independently manage all activities related to:
- Company-hosted trade shows
- Industry exhibitions (local & international)
- Booth vendor selection and negotiation
- Souvenir planning and inventory
- Logistics & sample movement
- Budgeting and cost control
- Provide a post-event performance analysis & lead report.
10. Additional Responsibilities Expected from This Role
- Prepare quarterly business review decks for the Director.
- Maintain project trackers and ensure deadlines across departments are met.
- Serve as a link between Management and Sales/Operations.
- Drive internal communication and ensure task clarity.
- Assist in new product ideation via data insights and market demand signals.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical ability and comfort with data.
- Good understanding of the livestock / animal nutrition sector.
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage cross-functional work independently.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Biotechnology, or Management
- MBA preferred but not compulsory
- Experience in animal nutrition / feed / livestock sector is a strong advantage
