Job Description:
  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Developing and implementing long-term sourcing strategies for components like solar panels, inverters, wind turbines, transformers, and cables.
  • Vendor Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers, including those in China and Southeast Asia. This involves contract negotiation, performance tracking, and vendor development.
  • Logistics & Inventory Management: Overseeing multi-location warehousing, transportation, and logistics to ensure zero supply bottlenecks and accurate inventory management for various project sites.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborating with engineering, quality, and project execution teams to align supply chain operations with construction schedules and project milestones.
  • Cost Efficiency & Risk Mitigation: Analyzing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and implementing robust risk management frameworks to cover supply, logistics, and geopolitical risks.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensuring all procurement and supply chain activities adhere to regulatory requirements (e.g., MNRE/DCR compliance in India) and quality standards.
  • Digital Transformation: Deploying and utilizing advanced technologies and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) to enhance supply chain efficiency and decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of SCM professionals, providing mentorship and driving strategic initiatives across the department. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy) is often mandatory, with an MBA in Operations or Supply Chain management being an added advantage.
  • Experience: Typically requires 15-25 years of relevant supply chain leadership experience within the renewable energy, power, or EPC sectors. Proven experience in managing large-scale, utility-scale projects (e.g., >1 GW) is highly valued.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential. Familiarity with global supply markets and customs/import laws is also important.
