Job Description:

Contract Management Lead will be responsible for end-to-end contract lifecycle management for renewable energy projects, ensuring commercial risk mitigation, contractual compliance, cost optimization, and governance across EPC, BoP, O&M, supply, and service contracts. The role will act as a strategic partner to Procurement, Projects, Legal, Finance, and Business teams

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management & Governance

  • Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management: drafting, review, negotiation, execution, administration, amendments, and closure.

  • Ensure contracts align with commercial, legal, risk, and compliance frameworks of the organization.

  • Establish and enforce contract governance standards, templates, SOPs, and approval matrices.

  • Identify contractual risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.

Procurement & Project Support

  • Support Procurement during RFQ/RFP, bid evaluation, negotiations, and finalization of EPC, BoP, OEM, O&M, logistics, land, and consultancy contracts.

  • Provide contract inputs during project execution to address variations, claims, deviations, LDs, extensions, and disputes.

  • Ensure smooth handover from Procurement to Projects/O&M with clear contractual obligations and milestones.

Claims, Variations & Dispute Management

  • Lead management of variation orders, claims, counter-claims, penalties, and liquidated damages.

  • Coordinate with Legal and external counsel for dispute resolution, arbitration, or litigation support.

  • Maintain robust documentation to safeguard organizational interests.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a single point of contact for contractual matters for internal stakeholders (Projects, SCM, Finance, Legal, BD).

  • Engage with vendors, EPC partners, OEMs, and consultants on contractual negotiations and performance issues.

  • Provide leadership updates and decision support to senior management.

Process Improvement & Team Leadership

  • Drive process improvements, digitization, and best practices in contract management.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing contract management team.

  • Support audits (internal/external) and ensure contract compliance.
