Job Description:
A General Accountant manages an organization's financial records, handling daily transactions, maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements (like P&Ls, Balance Sheets), ensuring tax compliance, and analyzing data to help with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions, ensuring all operations meet financial regulations and standards. Key duties include accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, budgeting, and supporting audits, requiring strong analytical, organizational, and software skills (like Excel, QuickBooks).
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly/annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain, post, and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts, ensuring accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, laws, and timely tax filing.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets and monitoring variances from projections.
- Auditing Support: Prepare schedules and provide data for internal and external audits.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee payroll functions, including deductions and payments.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide insights for management decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification often preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).

Soft Skills:Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills; detail-oriented.
