Job Description:

The Compliance Analyst will: • Be highly familiar with Company's  business, clients, work product, compliance policies & procedures, and workflows • Be familiar with concerns around MNPI and Defamation • Provide nuanced, comprehensive reviews of Blue Heron work product (interview transcripts) to assist in developing / testing / validating AI review tools, confirm AI generated risk scores, verify AI-assisted curing of potential defamatory statements, provide a human layer of review for content flagged by the AI review tools and clear, research, cure, or escalate interviews accordingly. • Be part of a compliance team based in Europe and the US Key Skills • Enjoys learning new skills, critical thinking & nuanced evaluations of varied content • Ability to mentally toggle between attention-to-detail and big-picture-client-compliance contextual considerations and apply proper perspective to the task at hand • Interpret workflows and instructions broadly without a “check-the-box” mentality Private and Confidential October 2025 | 2 • Intuitively embraces that 80% of the work will be repetitive and unlikely to result in meaningful outputs, but 20% of the work will require high-intellect, research, collaborative dialogue, and encompasses 95% of the risk in a business where we have to be absolutely confident we are not providing compromised content to clients. • Willingness to embrace changing priorities and evolving workflows • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and views documentation as important and not a nuisance • Good proofreader • Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a principles-based-environment as opposed to a rules-based-environment o Fully understands Company's guiding principal regarding redactions: Redacted interviews can never provide the reader a different impression about the underlying subject than the non-redacted version. • Willingness to tackle ad-hoc projects [with enthusiasm] Growth Opportunities • Additional compliance responsibilities as capabilities and work requirements evolve • Assist with DDQ preparation and reviews • Assist with marketing materials reviews • Assist in preparing, editing, reviewing internal compliance documentation, training materials • Significant involvement in the evolution of AI compliance review tools, including prompt engineering, validation, documentation Private and Confidential October 2025 | 3 Pre-Interview Preparation: • Review COMPANY'S Compliance Policies & Procedures • Review COMPANY'S MNPI Training • Review COMPANY'S Defamation Materials / Guidelines • Read 3 Sample Interviews and for 2: o Identify / Annotate potential MNPI o Clearly explain thought process and suggested actions:  CLEAR: Content worthy of internal mention, but OK to leave in and go to client (remain in library) as-is  RESEARCH: Content that can be cleared for clients, based on external research (e.g. can footnote to show that the content is not MNPI by virtue of being in the public domain)  CURE: Suggest how the flagged content can be cured to allow the interview report to go to clients / library (e.g. redact, edit)  ESCALATE: Identify content / interviews that should be escalated to BH US compliance team for further evaluation o Identify / Annotate potential defamatory content in interviews o Format / presentation up to individual discretion
