Job Description:
A Girls' Hostel Warden manages the day-to-day operations, safety, and discipline of a female residential facility, ensuring a secure, clean, and nurturing environment. Responsibilities include enforcing, curfews, managing staff, handling student grievances, overseeing maintenance/mess, and maintaining records. A bachelor’s degree, strong communication skills, and prior experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration & Management: Oversee room allotments, maintain records, and ensure proper maintenance of hostel facilities.
- Security & Discipline: Enforce strict hostel rules, curfews, and maintain security to ensure the safety of residents.
- Student Welfare & Support: Act as a guardian for students, offering guidance, mediating conflicts, and addressing grievances.
- Facility Upkeep: Supervise housekeeping, security personnel, and mess staff to ensure cleanliness and quality food.
- Emergency Response: Handle medical or other emergencies, including contacting parents and authorities.
- Reporting: Regularly report any disciplinary issues or safety hazards to the chief warden or higher authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in residential management or as a warden is often required.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, live-in positions are common, requiring 24/7 availability for emergencies.
