📌 Job Title: RSM – Project Sales
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Reporting to: DGM Sales
📋 Role Summary
As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Project Sales, you will be responsible for driving sales growth for project-based products/solutions within your assigned territory (e.g., Pune & surrounding regions). You will develop and execute sales strategies, lead and mentor your sales team, manage key client relationships, and ensure that project targets and revenue goals are achieved.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
⭐ Sales & Business Growth
- Develop and implement effective regional sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for projects.
- Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and potential project leads within the territory.
- Drive project sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation and closure.
- Forecast sales, prepare budgets, and create action plans to achieve short- and long-term goals.
📊 Team Leadership & Field Sales Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales executives / area sales managers to ensure high performance and target achievement.
- Hire, train, and coach team members on solution selling and project negotiation skills.
- Monitor and review team performance (KPIs, pipeline, conversions).
🤝 Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, project owners, contractors, consultants, channel partners, and distributors.
- Conduct regular field visits, presentations, site meetings, and negotiations at client premises.
- Manage key accounts and ensure excellent customer satisfaction throughout project execution phases.
📈 Market Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and project updates to senior management.
- Identify and communicate new project opportunities based on market insights.
📦 Coordination with Internal Teams
- Work closely with marketing, technical support, logistics, and operations to ensure seamless project delivery and solution execution.
- Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales activities to ensure project success.
🛠 Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven sales leadership skills with strong experience in project-based selling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong market analysis and forecasting abilities.
- Ability to travel frequently within the region.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) & MS Office.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Typically 10+ years of sales experience, including minimum 3–5 years in sales / project sales / sales management.
- Industry experience relevant to the company’s domain (infrastructure, manufacturing, technology products, etc.) is a plus.
