Job Description:
A Contract Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of contracts, from drafting, negotiating, and executing to monitoring compliance and renewals, ensuring legal/financial risks are minimized and organizational interests are protected by managing terms, stakeholders, and obligations across various agreements, often using software for efficiency. Key duties include reviewing tenders, liaising with legal/finance, managing performance against terms, and maintaining contract records.
Key Responsibilities

Leading the process from creation, negotiation, execution, monitoring, to renewal/termination.

Drafting & Review:Preparing and reviewing various contracts (NDAs, vendor agreements, etc.) for clarity and compliance.

Negotiation:Discussing and agreeing on terms, budgets, and timelines with clients/vendors.

Compliance:Ensuring all parties meet obligations, adhering to laws, regulations, and company policies.

Risk Management:Identifying and mitigating financial, legal, and security risks.

Stakeholder Communication:Acting as the main point of contact, reporting progress, and resolving issues with internal teams (legal, finance, project managers) and external parties.

Record Keeping:Maintaining an organized repository of all contracts and related documents.

Performance Monitoring:Tracking deliverables, milestones, and performance metrics, authorizing payments as appropriate.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of legal/regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with contract management software is often required.
- Relevant degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are beneficial.
