Job Description:
A Marketing Executive in a steel company is responsible for driving sales and brand awareness for products like structural steel, HR coils, slabs, and TMT bars. This role involves building relationships with construction firms, dealers, fabricators, and EPC contractors, as well as conducting market research to monitor pricing trends and competitor activity.
Job Description Highlights
- Lead Generation & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction, infrastructure, and heavy engineering sectors.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with dealers, contractors, builders, and institutional clients.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand-supply dynamics.
- Sales Coordination: Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with production/logistics teams for order execution and dispatch.
- Product Promotion: Conduct client visits and technical presentations on steel products.
- Target Achievement: Ensure monthly and quarterly sales targets are met in terms of volume and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit sites: Regularly visit construction sites, builders, and sub-dealers to understand current requirements.
- Reporting: Maintain customer databases, daily visit reports, and update CRM/salesforce systems.
- Collections: Ensure timely collection of receivables and address credit policy issues.
- Technical Knowledge: Understand steel grades, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical/Metallurgy/Civil) or a Bachelor’s in Business Administration/Marketing.
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in steel products marketing or industrial sales.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Tools: Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ERP/CRM software (e.g., SAP).
- Travel: Willingness to travel for client meetings and plant visits.

- Achieving sales volume targets.
- Number of new clients acquired.
- Accuracy of market intelligence reports.
- Timely collection of payments.
