Job Description:
A Technical Sales Executive in Mining and Construction drives revenue by selling specialized machinery, services, or ventilation systems to mining firms, contractors, and engineering companies. They blend technical expertise with sales skills to build relationships, provide technical consultations, and meet sales targets. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Research and secure new clients, while maintaining strong relationships with existing major accounts.
  • Technical Consultation: Explain complex technical features of products and offer technical solutions or upgrades to clients.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop proposals, negotiate pricing within established parameters, and manage the sales process from lead generation to closing.
  • Tender/Proposal Management: Prepare, review, and submit technical and commercial proposals and tender documents.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor competitors and report on market trends to improve sales strategies.
  • Support & Coordination: Work with technical, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. 
     
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: BSC , ITI , DIPLOMA
  • Experience: Proven experience in technical sales, specifically within mining equipment or construction machinery.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mining/construction equipment, ventilation systems, or machinery.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations. 
     
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Invoiced sales versus budgeted targets.
  • Gross profit margin attainment.
  • New customer acquisition and growth of existing accounts.
