About the Role
We want a strong Python backend engineer who can build real-world AI-powered applications using modern AI services with a strong foundation in web application. You will design, develop, and deploy intelligent AI-powered applications and systems that solve complex business problems at scale. You should be someone who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with a genuine passion for artificial intelligence, and emerging AI technologies. You will own end-to-end delivery from requirements to production deployment. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll architect AI solutions, and drive innovation in AI-driven product development.

What You Will Do

Engineering & Architecture
● Design and build AI-powered features and services integrated into web applications
● Develop and integrate APIs leveraging modern AI platforms (especially Microsoft Azure AI services)
● Work with prompt design, response handling, and optimization of AI-driven workflows
● Build scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar)

Backend & System Design
• Architect clean, modular, and scalable backend systems
• Work with REST and GraphQL APIs for efficient data access and integration
• Ensure secure, performant, and maintainable code

Database & Data Handling
• Design and optimize database schemas (SQL/NoSQL)
• Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Handle structured and semi-structured data efficiently

Quality & Testing
• Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests
• Ensure high code quality through reviews, automation, and best practices
• Identify edge cases and ensure system reliability

Collaboration & Delivery
• Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams
• Take ownership from requirement understanding to production deployment
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decisions

Engineering Mindset & Problem-Solving

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills
● 5+ years of full-stack development experience in modern web applications.

● Expert-level proficiency in:
○ Python with experience in backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc.)
○ Solid understanding of API design (REST, GraphQL)
○ Strong database knowledge (SQL + NoSQL)

○ Testing: PyTest
○ API testing (Postman/Newman, etc.)

● Strong experience with:
○ Microservices + monolithic systems
○ CI/CD pipeline
○ Azure AI
○ Frontend exposure with React
○ DevOps basics

● Understanding of:
○ Familiarity with cloud platforms
○ Secure coding practices and integration patterns

Nice-to-Have Skills
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar tools for designing, orchestrating, and integrating AI-driven workflows in production applications is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services)
• Exposure to AI-driven application development
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
