Job Description:
A Sales Executive in steel manufacturing drives revenue by identifying new business, managing client relationships, and selling products like TMT bars, HR/CR coils, and structural steel. Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets, negotiating contracts, tracking market trends, and handling payments. Ideal candidates have 0–5 years of experience, strong negotiation skills, and technical knowledge of steel grades and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and generate new sales leads in industrial, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
- Client Management: Maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, and key accounts to ensure repeat business.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and value targets.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate prices, finalize orders, and manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to payment collection.
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor pricing, monitor market trends, and gather feedback on product performance.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with production and logistics departments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
- Reporting: Prepare daily/monthly sales reports and forecasts for management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 0–5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the steel, iron, or construction industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; engineering background is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of steel products (TMT bars, sheets, structural steel), material specifications, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, relationship-building, and CRM software skills.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively for field visits and client meetings.
