Head – Sales & Business Development
Job Description:
Job Summary
The Head – Sales will be responsible for leading the overall sales strategy, revenue generation, and business development for Intelligent Transportation Management Systems (ITMS), traffic enforcement solutions, and smart mobility technologies. The role involves driving sales growth across government, smart city projects, highways, and enterprise clients while building strong partnerships and expanding the company’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and implement national sales strategies for ITMS, smart traffic solutions, and mobility technologies.
- Identify new business opportunities in government, smart city, highways, and infrastructure sectors.
- Drive revenue growth, order booking, and market expansion.
- Establish long-term relationships with OEM’s, Coach Builders, government agencies, municipalities, and infrastructure developers.
- Business Development & Tender Management
- Lead tender participation, bid preparation, and contract negotiations for large ITMS projects.
- Track upcoming Smart City, ITS, surveillance, tolling, and traffic management projects.
- Work closely with technical teams (CTO Teams i.e. PEC, PDD, Product Management, Projects, QA and Commercials to prepare technical proposals and solution offerings.
- Key Account Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM’s, Coach Builders, government departments, transport authorities, system integrators, and EPC companies.
- Manage strategic clients and ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Represent the company in industry forums, exhibitions, and government meetings.
- Sales Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing national sales team.
- Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.
- Conduct regular sales reviews, pipeline tracking, and forecasting.
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and government policies related to ITS and smart mobility.
- Provide strategic inputs for product development and market positioning.
- Collaboration & Internal Coordination
- Work closely with engineering, project execution, and finance teams for smooth project delivery.
- Ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capabilities.

- Annual sales revenue and order booking
- Successful acquisition of ITMS / Smart City projects
- Market expansion and new client acquisition

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Electronics / IT / Telecommunications.
- MBA in Marketing / Business Development preferred.
Experience
- 18–25 years of experience in sales and business development.
- Minimum 10–15 years in leadership role managing sales teams.
- Experience in ITS / ITMS / Smart City / Surveillance / Transportation Infrastructure Technology sectors preferred.
