Job Description:
A Sales & Marketing Manager in the logistics industry drives revenue growth and expands market share by identifying new clients, building strong relationships, and promoting services like freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain solutions. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales & Business Development

  • Proposal & Pitching: Develop detailed business proposals, negotiate freight rates, and close contracts with favorable commercial terms.

Marketing & Brand Management
  • Campaign Execution: Develop and manage targeted marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate inbound leads across digital platforms, industry events, and trade shows.

Operations & Team Coordination
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, fleet management, and customer service teams to ensure promised logistics solutions are executed flawlessly.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of supply chain operations, 3PL/4PL services, freight forwarding (air, sea, road), and warehousing.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record in B2B sales, contract negotiations, and meeting revenue/volume targets.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, track ROI on marketing budgets, and forecast sales.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for pitching to C-level executives, stakeholder management, and resolving client disputes. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Typical Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
