SR. ENGINEER DRI ELECTRICAL FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIGARH , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Plant Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for critical heavy equipment, including HT/LT switchgears, transformers, VFDs, and motors.
- Automation & Control: Oversee the upkeep and troubleshooting of PLC, SCADA, and field instrumentation systems.
- Project Management: Plan and execute electrical infrastructure upgrades or installations, including new machinery and modernization projects.
- Troubleshooting: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) during equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict electrical safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and ensure adherence to statutory electrical rules and factory acts. [1]
- Experience: Typically \(5\) to \(12+\) years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance or design within heavy process industries (DRI, sponge iron, or captive power plants).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of automation systems (e.g., Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs), HT/LT power distribution, and EOT cranes.
- Soft Skills: Strong cross-functional leadership, inventory/budget management, and problem-solving abilities. [1, 2]
