Job Description:
An Account Manager (or Finance Manager) in a ferro alloys manufacturing plant oversees the financial operations, taxation, and statutory compliance. They manage accounts, process invoicing, and provide essential cost-tracking and MIS reports to keep the industrial facility financially optimized and legally compliant. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Core Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain accurate ledgers in ERP systems (like SAP or Tally Prime), handle month-end and year-end closures, and manage reconciliations. [1, 2]
- Statutory Compliance: File GST, TDS, TCS, and ensure PF/ESI and ROC regulations are met on schedule. [1, 2, 3]
- Billing & Invoicing: Generate sales invoices, e-invoices, and e-way bills for dispatches, and process PO-GRN matched vendor invoices. [1, 2]
- Banking & Treasury: Manage cash flow, oversee bank reconciliations, and support working capital limits (CC/OD) along with Letters of Credit (LC) for raw material procurement. [1]
- Cost & Inventory: Track the costs of critical production components like raw materials (manganese ore, quartz), power, and electrodes to prepare production cost MIS reports. [1, 2]
- Audits: Coordinate with internal and external Chartered Accountants (CAs) to ensure smooth financial and tax audits. [1, 2]
Key Requirements
- Experience: Typically 5 to 12 years of hands-on accounting and finance experience, specifically within manufacturing or continuous-process industrial sectors.
- Education: B.Com/M.Com; CA-Inter or CMA-Inter is a distinct advantage.
- Technical Skills: Deep proficiency in Tally Prime or SAP, and advanced MS Excel. [1, 2, 3, 4]
