About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to lead and execute
strategic marketing initiatives for our diamond business across India. The ideal candidate
will have strong experience in the diamond and jewellery industry, with in-depth knowledge
of Rapaport, local industry organizations and publications, global diamond markets, digital
marketing, brand management, and B2B customer engagement.
Role Description: The Senior Marketing Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and
optimization of integrated marketing strategies for Rapaport India, ensuring strong brand
positioning across the diamond and jewellery industry. This full-time, on-site role in Mumbai
involves leading marketing campaigns, managing digital and traditional channels, and
coordinating with global stakeholders to align local initiatives with overall Group objectives.
The individual will analyse market trends and customer data, develop go-to-market plans,
and create targeted marketing programs to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and
customer engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing content and creative
assets, cultivating relationships with local industry organizations, supervising external
agencies or vendors, tracking campaign performance against KPIs, and preparing regular
reports and insights for senior leadership. The Senior Marketing Manager will also
collaborate closely with sales, product, and operations teams to support business
development and maintain consistent brand messaging. The candidate will be responsible
for strengthening brand presence, generating qualified business leads, driving customer
acquisition, and supporting domestic as well as international sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing awareness and lead generation
strategies aligned with business objectives.
Build and enhance the company's brand positioning in domestic and international
markets.
Identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive opportunities within
the diamond industry.
Plan and execute product launches, branding campaigns, trade show and conference
presence, and promotional activities.
Digital Marketing & Brand Management
Lead digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
Manage company website, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media presence.
Monitor campaign performance using analytics tools and optimize marketing ROI.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communication
channels.
Business Development Support
Generate qualified B2B leads through digital platforms, exhibitions, and networking.
Support the sales team with marketing collateral, presentations, and promotional
materials.
Build relationships with publications, organizations, retailers, wholesalers,
manufacturers, and international buyers.
Coordinate participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
Market Research
Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
Analyse customer behaviour and industry trends.
Recommend new marketing opportunities and business expansion strategies.
Team Management
Lead and mentor the marketing team.
Coordinate with sales, merchandising, design, and management teams.
Manage marketing budgets and vendor relationships.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related
field.
MBA in Marketing is preferred.
8–12 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in the diamond or jewellery
industry.
Strong understanding of natural diamonds, diamond grading, certification (GIA/IGI),
and international diamond markets.
Experience in B2B marketing, export marketing, and luxury brand marketing is
preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools.
