Job Description:
A Computer Operator manages, monitors, and maintains computer hardware, software, and data entry operations to ensure daily office and IT systems run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Operations: Enter, update, sort, and verify data accurately in spreadsheets and databases.
- System Monitoring: Watch computer systems and networks for performance issues, error messages, or failures.
- Report Generation: Prepare regular daily, weekly, or monthly business reports using MS Excel or Google Sheets.
- Equipment Maintenance: Manage peripheral devices like printers and scanners, and report basic hardware or software faults.
- Data Backup: Routinely perform or monitor system backups to prevent data loss.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Knowledge: Strong practical knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Typing & Accuracy: Fast typing speed with a high level of attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with IT support teams.
- Education: High school diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, depending on company requirements.
