About the Opportunity

Orbit Global HR Consultants is hiring an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Architect for an enterprise-level ServiceNow opportunity in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

We are looking for a senior ServiceNow professional with 12+ years of overall IT experience and 10+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, with strong expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Graph, IRE, CMDB governance, integrations, automation, and platform scripting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-scale CMDB solutions, defining Configuration Item (CI) models and relationships, establishing data governance frameworks, improving CMDB health and data quality, and providing technical leadership across ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM initiatives.

Key Responsibilities – ServiceNow CMDB Architect

As a ServiceNow CMDB Architect, you will be responsible for:

ServiceNow CMDB Architecture

• Design and implement enterprise-scale ServiceNow CMDB architecture.
• Align CMDB architecture and data models with CSDM 4.x.
• Define CI classes, attributes, relationships, and identification rules.
• Establish scalable CI lifecycle management processes.
• Define CMDB governance, standards, policies, and data-quality frameworks.
• Design data certification and CMDB maintenance processes.

IRE & Data Reconciliation

• Implement and manage the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
• Define identification rules and reconciliation strategies.
• Ensure accurate CI identification and prevention of duplicate CIs.
• Establish appropriate data sources and reconciliation priorities.
• Troubleshoot CMDB data integrity and reconciliation issues.

ServiceNow Discovery

• Design enterprise ServiceNow Discovery architecture.
• Define MID Server architecture and topology.
• Configure and optimize Discovery.
• Develop and customize Discovery Patterns.
• Support discovery of enterprise infrastructure and applications.
• Troubleshoot Discovery-related issues and data-quality problems.

Service Mapping & Service Graph

• Design and implement Service Mapping solutions.
• Develop application and service dependency maps.
• Implement Service Graph integrations and connectors.
• Establish relationships between CIs and business/technical services.
• Improve visibility of service dependencies across enterprise environments.

ServiceNow Integrations

The candidate will work on enterprise ServiceNow integrations using:

• REST APIs
• SOAP APIs
• Scripted APIs
• IntegrationHub
• JSON
• XML
• MID Server
• Enterprise monitoring integrations

Experience with integrations involving Active Directory, SCCM, Azure, AWS, VMware, Splunk, Dynatrace, BMC, Jira, and monitoring platforms is relevant to the role.

• Developing remediation strategies.
• Establishing CI governance processes.
• Defining CI lifecycle standards.
• Improving completeness, correctness, compliance, and data consistency.
• Establishing data certification processes.
• Monitoring CMDB performance and data quality.
• Supporting continuous improvement of the enterprise CMDB.

Technical Leadership

This is an architect-level position, requiring strong technical leadership.

The candidate will:

• Lead technical workshops with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable ServiceNow architecture.
• Review ServiceNow technical designs.
• Perform code reviews.
• Guide ServiceNow developers on architecture and implementation.
• Support enterprise migration and integration programs.
• Provide technical recommendations for CMDB and ITOM initiatives.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, operations, and other technology teams.
