Job Description:

Principal Accountabilities:

Create crew data base for all disciplines.

Ensure all employee personnel files are upto date at all times.

Develop and implement a competitive compensation and benefits package to attract, motivate and retain good employees

Crew management and recruitment.

Ensuring alignment of training for all the crew members

Establish and continuously review policies and procedures regarding recruitment, compensation and benefits to ensure consistency and fair application.

Establish and review functional/departmental managers KPI’s to meet company’s business objective

Preparation of crew department annual budget

Establish department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in compliance to ISO Certification

Responsible in handling staff disciplinary and Industrial Relations matters including grievance, termination and.

Dealing with the regulatory bodies like SEO’s/DGS/IRS w.r.t. the RPS License

Liaising with the trade unions as per requirements.

Support technical manager on Marine related issue.

Managing day-to-day compliance related questions and issues

Ensuring policies and standards are understood and followed

Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk

Providing strategic guidance on compliance issues and situations

Be the channel of communication for compliance related issues

Providing training and reports on a regular basis to senior management regarding the operation and progress of compliance efforts

Remaining abreast of external compliance activities like circulars from Flag state and Class, DG Shipping, ICG and Indian Navy

Positive liaison with all Government and non-government agencies including third party for compliance.

Implementing compliance engagement, or where appropriate, corrective action plans

Special projects and other duties as assigned

Offshore travel as per requirement
