Job Description:
What you’ll do:
  • Provide high?level tax client service to many different client types (Corporations, Pass?throughs, Individuals, etc.).
  • Review Forms 1065, 1120?S, 1120, 1040, and 1041 that were prepared by the team.
  • Being responsible for maintaining and developing strong relationships with our clients by:
  • Developing a relationship with engagement?related client personnel responsible for tax issues.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of the client’s business, objectives, and industry.
  • Ability to listen to the client and adapt to their agenda as a trustworthy, collaborative business advisor.
  • Effectively communicates technical topics in non?technical terms to a variety of audiences.
  • Proactive in managing the engagement; identifying and resolving issues, and anticipating needs(client, Partner, and deliverable timelines).
  • Serves as an effective business advisor to clients and others;
  • Recognizes personal skills/knowledge limitations and leverages firm resources best serve clients and minimize risk
  • Displays strong social and teamwork skills; can interact with people in a variety of situations, listens and communicates well, is trusted by others, and can adapt to different work styles
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills: effectively leads teams and leads by example
  • Provides oversight, mentorship, and guidance to the India tax team
  • Consistently manages production and utilization goals (self and others)
  • Manages engagement economics and key drivers of success/profitability by delegating work effectively; considers team capabilities, leverage model, and engagement timelines
  • Understands the firm’s policies, procedures, and professional standards
  • Seeks to continually learn, focus on continued personal development
  • Understands and stays current on professional standards, and industry guidance; appropriately applies these to client situation
  • Displays sound risk management decisions
 
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
  • Strong tax technical skills covering Forms 1065, 1120?S, 1120, 1040, and 1041.
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in public accounting demonstrating a progression of complexity, scope, and number of engagements managed, with extensive supervisory experience
  • Successful problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in the use of computers, accounting software, and tax software programs
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to train and supervise staff in tax, software skills, etc.
  • Ability to perform under time pressures and meet deadlines
  • Hard working, honest and ethical
