Job Description:

 

A Regional Sales Manager for Modern Trade is responsible for overseeing sales operations within a specific region, focusing primarily on modern trade channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and large retail chains.

The job description typically includes the following responsibilities:

1) Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve the company's sales objectives within the modern trade segment.

2) Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the region. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.

3) Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including retail chains and modern trade partners, to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

4) Team Management: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance metrics and KPIs within the region, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

5) Budget Management: Develop and manage the regional sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

6) Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments such as marketing, supply chain, and finance to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

7) New Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company's presence within the modern trade segment by acquiring new accounts and partnerships.

8) Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities for management review.

9) Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise within the region, such as supply chain disruptions, pricing concerns, or customer complaints, in a timely and effective manner.

10) Promotional Activities: Plan and execute promotional activities and trade marketing initiatives to drive sales and increase brand visibility within the modern trade channel.
