Job Description:

Must Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Management; either with Configuration Manager or Intune.  Preferably both.
  • Basic PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Experience deploying and managing Windows 10\11.
  • Experience packaging software for deployment.  We currently use Emco MSI creator and Intune's Win32 Utility but experience with any tool is enough.
  • Desire to expand their knowledge into other functions on the team (M365 workloads, Entra ID, etc.)

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides systems software planning, design, configuring, and support for complex operating systems or sub-systems in assigned areas of responsibility to ensure optimum performance and system integrity.
  • Establishes methods and procedures (standard work) for use in planning, configuring, and supporting system software to ensure consistency.
  • Provides diagnostic and problem determination support on general systems problems for all Information Services (IS) functions and end-users.  Activities vary from consultative role to active development and implementation of problem solutions to meet Service Level Commitments.
  • Analyzes problems in operating system or other system software, isolates errors, and corrects errors or coordinates supplier efforts to correct errors and resolve problem.
  • Acts as liaison between computer users and representatives of operating system or other system software suppliers to ensure clients receives expected results and/or product.
  • Performs tests on new releases of operating system or other systems software planned for migration from test to production, ensuring successful deployments.
  • Performs feasibility studies on new releases of operating systems and other system software to provide implementation plans, recommendations, estimates of resource requirements, impact on existing systems, and benefits.
  • Responsible for performance of operating system or sub-system.  Analyzes, solves, and prevents performance problems to assure system is tuned to maintain established performance levels.  Initiates appropriate action to maintain established service levels.
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of current technology and technology trends to provide best solutions for client.
