Job Description:

Responsibilities:

As an Export Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of export operations within the framework of Indian law and play pivotal role in the company’s global expansion. Your role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Export Documentation:
  • Prepare and review all necessary export documents including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, shipping bill, certificates of origin and other required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations for each destination.
  • Banking and Financial Transactions:
  • Liaise with banks for export-related transactions, including letters of credit, documentary collections, and other financial instruments.
  • Monitor and manage export credit facilities such as EPC, LC, PCFC etc.
  • FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) and RBI (Reserve Bank of India) Compliance:
  • Stay updated with the latest FEMA and RBI guidelines pertaining to exports.
  • Ensure adherence to FEMA and RBI regulations while executing export transactions.
  • Exports Incentives:
  • Identify and apply for available export incentives, such as Duty Drawback, Remission of Duties or Taxes on Export Products (RodTEP) Scheme or any other government schemes operational at any point of time.
  • Maintain records and documentation for incentive claims.
  • Export Invoicing:
  • Generate accurate and compliant export invoices in compliance with Indian tax laws and export regulations.
  • Bank Realization Certificate (BRC):
  • Manage the process of obtaining BRC for export transactions.
  • Coordinate with banks and authorities to ensure timely issuance.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment of goods to international destinations.
  • Oversee the entire supply chain process, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Compliance Management:
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with trade sanctions, export controls, and any other international trade regulations.
  • Implement and manage compliance programs to mitigate risks associated with export activities.
  • Government Liaison and Advocacy:
  • Represent the company in interactions with government agencies, trade associations, and industry forums related to export policies and advocacy efforts.
  • Advocate for policies that support and facilitate export activities.
  • Customs Clearance and Freight Forwarding:
  • Work closely with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth clearance of goods through customs.
  • Verify accuracy of customs documentation and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Risk Management and Insurance:
  • Evaluate and manage risks associated with international shipments, including currency exchange rate fluctuations, political instability, and natural disasters.
  • Arrange for appropriate insurance coverage for export transactions.
  • Documentation Process Enhancement:
  • Continuously review and improve export documentation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement digital solutions and automation tools for streamlined document management.
  • Pricing and cost management:
  • Analyze export costs, pricing strategies, and currency fluctuations to optimize profit margins.
  • Negotiate contracts with shipping and logistics partners to reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce / Supply chain management / International Trade.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in export management.
  • Thorough knowledge of Indian export documentation requirements, FEMA, RBI guidelines, and trade incentives.
  • Proficient in using Tally Prime and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
