Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Sales – Responsible for Global operations (International experience Europe, US UK)

  • Being a B TO B establishing relationship at the topmost level is very critical for this function.
  • Understanding market trends worldwide, investments of Tire industry and strategy to approach.
  • Pricing strategy in terms of currency rates, forward contracts for exports, customs duties and its effect on imports in target countries.
  • Good grip on key financial parameters with understanding on the Units’ P&L
  • RFQ generation, product costing with CMM in line with competition pricing data.
  • Guiding the Marketing team, strategize, negotiate with customer top management to conclude the order
  • Ensuring best commercial terms -like payment, commodity indexation etc to safeguard companies business interests.
  • Effectively lead people; inspire, mentor, and develop employees while focusing on talent development and building a resilient team.
  • Identifying new customer, new business areas for the future
  • Strategize, identify opportunities and ensure YOY growth of Auxiliaries and Spares business to enhance the unit’s bottom line.

Head product support

Ensure immediate response to customer complaints, understanding the veracity of the situation and respond.

Strategy to identify areas for revenue generation, close monitoring of expenses across project sites.

Guide and mentor a technically knowledgeable team

Resource management.

Desired profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering & PG in Management
  • Experience: Minimum twenty (25) years' experience or equivalent working on a wide variety of Capital equipment B to B environment. Exposure to international markets is required.
  • Hands on experience on negotiating, order conclusion in Heavy engineering industry with a sales turnover of about Rs 1000 Crs .
  • Must have working knowledge on finance, product costing.
  • Exposure to negotiating contracts with terms as per Companies corporate guidelines.
  • Exposure in estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply.
  • Exposure in maintaining strategic top management relationships at customer end and developing strong partnerships.
  • Exposure in training personnel, leading a team of Marketing & Product support professionals, and monitoring & improving team performance.

Competency / skill set desired.

  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate with all levels of senior leadership as well as with customers.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and conclude orders with customers.
  • Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into executable strategies; ability to develop and execute project plans.
  • Skilled in team building, conflict resolution, and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment to includes credibility, respect, and trust.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment while managing complexity and ambiguity.
  • Analytical and business problem-solving skills
