Job Description:

A data center technician holds the responsibility of installing, maintaining, and monitoring the equipment and systems
within a data center. They ensure the proper functioning and updated status of both hardware and software, playing a vital
role in safeguarding data security and availability.
Responsible for DC audit, UAM, Phycal Access management 
DC projects DC migration, Additional of rack, power, DC cabling

 Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.
 Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers.
 Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.
 Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users/Engineers.
 Troubleshooting system and server errors.
 Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.
 Managing user access.
 Monitoring system performance.
 Maintaining server architecture security and ensure back up is configured for all critical infra application.
 Managing and maintaining datacentre assets / servers inventory.
 Managing and maintaining patch compliance of all the servers.
 Troubleshooting issues related to infrastructure tools like Bigfix , Solarwinds.
 Co-ordination with vendor and OEM for timely upgrade bios, firmware of the servers as per requirement. 
 Tracking and managing servers AMC & timely update to management regarding renewal. 
 Manages VMware vSphere for server consolidation and virtualization
 Applies technical knowledge on the network systems, operating systems, and utilities to the VMware environment
 Gives guidance to the management to changes identified with the virtual infrastructure
 Maintains awareness of VMware software patches and their effect on the server environment & apply patches as
per requirement.
 Defines, monitors, and troubleshoots system performance inside the VMware environment (vROPS);
 Develops and supports operational guidelines for the maintenance and upkeep of the virtual infrastructure;
