Assistant General Manager – Data Centre Mumbai

Job Description:

Responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of data centers, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of IT
infrastructure.

• Manage and optimize organization's cloud infrastructure, including architecture, provisioning, and resource
allocation.

• Implement and maintain monitoring systems to ensure the performance, availability, and security of cloud-
based services, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

• Develop and implement the overall data center architecture and design, considering Company’s current and future IT
requirements.
• Managing compute resources within data center, including servers, virtual machines, and other computing
devices, to ensure optimal performance and resource allocation.
• Oversee the installation and configuration of data center equipment, including servers, storage systems,
networking devices, and cooling systems.
• Oversee storage systems and technologies, such as network-attached storage (NAS) and storage area networks
(SAN), to ensure data availability, integrity, and scalability. Managing and maintaining databases within the
data center, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery processes.
• Implement and enforce data center security measures, such as access controls, surveillance, and intrusion
detection systems, to protect sensitive data and equipment.
• Oversee the construction and implementation of data center infrastructure, including power and cooling
systems, racks, cabling, and network equipment.
• Work with construction teams and vendors to ensure data center projects are executed on time and within
budget.
• Implementing and optimizing cloud computing technologies and virtualization platforms to enhance scalability,
efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Managing physical and virtual servers, including provisioning, maintenance, patching, and security
management.
• Implement robust monitor and alert mechanisms to ensure availability performance of data center
infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and storage.
• Develop & implement cybersecurity measures, assess risks, monitor security incidents & provide regular
reports on system vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Implement & adhere to ITSM & ITAM best practices, ensuring efficient incident mgmt., change management,
and asset tracking within data center environment.
• Manage day-to-day data center operations, including monitoring environmental conditions, power usage, and
network connectivity.
• Ensure proper maintenance of data center hardware and infrastructure to optimize performance and
reliability.
