Engineering Manager
Job Description:
- Job Responsibilities:
Lead a highly talented agile team of 10-12, comprising primarily of developers and automation engineers - Motivate the team by being hands-on, abreast with latest technological trends and demonstrating superior leadership skills
- Work closely with the Product Development team in understanding the requirements and translating them into technical specifications
- Work closely with other senior members of the team in executing the product and technology roadmaps
- Come up with strategies to ensure that all the various development groups of the platform follow a common set of established practices
- Take full ownership of the deliverable in terms of timelines, quality and DevOps practices
- Imbibe a culture of innovation and continuous learning in the team and quickly integrate them into the regular work
- Guide the engineers in coming up with a low level design and adhere to it
- Research on engineering best practices and coach the engineers in following them
- Collaborate with colleagues from other areas of the company in identifying inter-dependencies for any system enhancement
- Steer various technical initiatives by working with counter-parts in other engineering groups considering operational requirements
- Collaborate with the Automation Architect in coming up with a strategy to achieve 100% automation
- Analyse customer issues promptly, determine RCA and come up with a plan to feed the learnings into the subsequent product upgrades
