Job Description:
Role & responsibilities
 
 
Develop and execute the trade marketing strategy for the companys trade generics portfolio.
Align trade marketing initiatives with overall business goals, sales targets, and market trends.
Identify key growth opportunities and potential challenges in the trade generics segment.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure effective implementation of trade marketing activities.
Develop marketing programs that drive sales growth, improve market penetration, and enhance brand visibility.
Collaborate with brand marketing managers to create promotional materials and tools that support sales efforts.
Conduct regular market analysis to monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Identify emerging market opportunities and adjust trade marketing strategies accordingly.
Track and report on key performance metrics, including sales growth, market share, and ROI of trade marketing activities. Trade Promotions & Merchandising:
Plan and execute trade promotions, including discounts, incentives, and other promotional offers.
Monitor trade channel performance and optimize channel strategies to achieve sales objectives.
Develop and manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Monitor expenditure against budget and report on variances, ensuring cost-effective use of funds.
Optimize the ROI of trade marketing activities through effective planning and execution.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
 
Education: MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or marketing within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on trade generics or OTC
Proven ability to develop and execute successful trade marketing strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market in India, including key players, regulatory environment, and market dynamics.
Proficiency in market analysis tools and software.
Familiarity with trade marketing best practices and industry standards.
Understanding of the Indian pharmaceutical distribution network and trade channels.
