We are seeking an experienced and proactive CAPEX Electrical Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing and procurement of Substation electrical equipment, materials, and services for Small, Medium and large-scale industrial SOLAR and WIND projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that all electrical procurement activities are aligned with project specifications, budgets, and timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with industry standards.

- Represents Procurement in Project Management Team like transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnectors, buses, lightning arresters, capacitors, reactors
- Integrates Procurement in the project management process and project teams at an early involvement during sales phase.
- Establish proper sourcing processes, control Procurement activities in the project and inform all involved within Procurement to deliver optimum impact for the business (Procurement plan, target-costing) relating to budget, availability, timeline and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement electrical procurement strategies in line with the companys operational needs and project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage a portfolio of reliable suppliers and contractors for electrical materials, including transformers, switchgear, cabling, lighting, and control systems.
- Source electrical components and services, negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing, ensuring competitive rates without compromising quality.
- Monitor procurement budgets, track expenses, and optimize procurement costs through effective negotiation and alternative sourcing.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to understand electrical requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Ensure all procured materials meet the technical and safety standards as per project specifications and applicable regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement, such as delays, supply shortages, or cost overruns.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with legal and company standards.
- Conduct regular audits and performance evaluations of suppliers to ensure consistency in quality, delivery, and service.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of critical electrical components.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-12 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electrical equipment for industrial or commercial buildings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement for large-scale industrial or EPC infrastructure projects.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations.
