Job Description:

Job Summary:

We're seeking an organized and efficient Dispatch Manager to oversee the timely and accurate delivery of raw materials, packaging, and finished chocolate products to and from our manufacturing facility, warehouses, and distribution centers. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless logistics operations, maintain high levels of supplier and customer satisfaction, and uphold our company's commitment to quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Inbound Logistics:

  1. Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and packaging.
  2. Manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders.

 

Outbound Logistics:

  1. Plan and execute shipments of finished chocolate products to customers, warehouses, and distribution centers.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely deliveries.

 

Dispatch Operations:

  1. Assign drivers, vehicles, and equipment for optimal utilization.
  2. Monitor and adjust routes in real-time to minimize delays.

 

Inventory Management:

  1. Collaborate with production planning and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  2. Monitor and address inventory discrepancies.

 

Driver Management:

  1. Supervise, train, and evaluate drivers on company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
  2. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements.

 

Safety and Compliance:

  1. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to food safety protocols.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions.

 

Performance Metrics:

  1. Track key performance indicators (KPIs): on-time delivery rates, transit times, and driver utilization.
  2. Analyze data to optimize operations.

 

Team Management:

  1. Lead, motivate, and develop a team of dispatchers and coordinators.
  2. Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and customer focus.

 

Requirements:

  1. 4+ years of experience in dispatch management or logistics operations.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
  4. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficient in dispatch software and technology (e.g., TMS, GPS tracking).
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
