Job Description:

 

  • Credit Assessment and Approval:

    • Analyze and assess creditworthiness of customers applying for supply chain finance and inventory funding.
    • Review and evaluate financial statements, cash flows, bank statements, and market trends to determine customer risk profiles.
    • Conduct due diligence, including business and industry risk analysis, to evaluate creditworthiness and recommend approval, rejection, or modifications to credit applications.
  • Portfolio Management:

    • Manage and monitor an assigned credit portfolio to ensure performance and compliance with bank policies.
    • Regularly review client financial performance, monitor credit limits, and assess inventory funding exposures.
    • Identify potential problem loans early, propose solutions, and manage delinquent accounts.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

    • Work closely with the sales and relationship management teams to understand client requirements and provide solutions.
    • Coordinate with risk, legal, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines.
    • Assist the Regional Credit Head in portfolio reviews, regulatory reporting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Credit Policy and Compliance:

    • Ensure credit evaluations align with bank credit policies, industry standards, and risk appetite.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including financial statements, credit memos, and approval notes.
    • Support audits, both internal and external, by providing documentation and insights on portfolio quality.
  • Product Knowledge and Market Insights:

    • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and developments in supply chain finance and inventory funding.
    • Leverage industry insights to adjust risk assessment models and refine credit decision-making criteria.
  • Team Development and Training:

    • Provide guidance and support to junior credit analysts or team members, sharing knowledge on best practices and risk management.
    • Conduct periodic training sessions on new credit assessment techniques, product knowledge, and regulatory changes.
