Job Description:

The Ornament Manufacturing Production Head plays a crucial role in overseeing the production
process, ensuring that operations run smoothly, efficiently, and meet high-quality standards. Their
responsibilities can vary depending on the company and specific product line (e.g., jewelry,
Christmas ornaments, etc.), but in general, the following roles and responsibilities in a work order
can be expected:sa
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning and Scheduling:
o Work Order Creation: Ensuring that work orders are created and issued correctly for
each production batch, detailing specifications, materials required, deadlines, and
quantities.
o Schedule Management: Developing and maintaining a production schedule based
on order volume, deadlines, and available resources to ensure timely delivery.
o Resource Allocation: Assigning tasks to production teams, allocating materials,
machinery, and labor based on work orders.

2. Work Order Coordination:
o Coordination with Departments: Collaborating with procurement, design, and sales
teams to ensure that all components (raw materials, tools, designs) are available
and aligned with work order requirements.
o Production Monitoring: Monitoring the progress of ongoing work orders, ensuring
that milestones are met and adjusting schedules as needed to prevent delays.

3. Quality Control and Assurance:
o Quality Standards Compliance: Ensuring that all ornaments are produced according
to specified quality standards outlined in the work order. This includes overseeing
the quality checks throughout production stages.
o Inspection and Testing: Supervising quality inspections to check for defects,
adherence to design, finishing quality, and other product requirements.

4. Production Efficiency and Process Improvement:
o Process Optimization: Continuously assessing and optimizing production processes
to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Implementing lean manufacturing
techniques where applicable.
o Machine and Tool Maintenance: Ensuring machines and tools are well-maintained
and operational, preventing downtimes and delays in fulfilling work orders.

5. Inventory and Material Management:
o Material Management: Overseeing inventory levels of raw materials, ensuring there
is enough stock for work orders without overstocking.
o Supply Chain Coordination: Working closely with the procurement team to ensure
timely delivery of materials in line with the work order’s timeline.

6. Team Leadership and Supervision:
o Staff Management: Managing and guiding production workers, assigning tasks, and
ensuring that they have the necessary training and resources to execute work orders
effectively.

o Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety protocols, mitigating any potential
risks related to equipment or material handling.

7. Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:
o Addressing Delays and Bottlenecks: Identifying and resolving any challenges that
may arise during the production process, such as equipment failure, material
shortages, or manpower issues.
o Customer Issue Resolution: If a work order is tied to a customer request, the
Production Head may need to liaise with customer service or directly address
customer-related issues or complaints.

8. Reporting and Documentation:
o Production Reporting: Maintaining accurate production logs and records for each
work order, including quantities produced, time taken, and any deviations from the
original plan.
o Work Order Updates: Providing regular updates on the status of ongoing work
orders, including completed orders, delays, and any necessary adjustments.

9. Budget and Cost Control:
o Cost Management: Overseeing the cost of materials and labor in alignment with the
budget and work order requirements. This includes minimizing waste and
maximizing resource efficiency.
o Resource Efficiency: Monitoring and controlling the costs involved in the production
process and ensuring production remains within the financial parameters outlined
by the work order.
10. Final Product Delivery:
o Product Packaging: Ensuring that finished products are appropriately packaged and
labeled according to work order specifications.
o Delivery Coordination: Coordinating with logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery
of finished products as per customer or internal work orders.
