Job Description:
A Vice President (VP) or President, Commercial oversees and drives the revenue-generating functions of a company, including sales, marketing, and business development, by developing and executing strategies to achieve growth and profitabilityKey responsibilities include managing key commercial teams, identifying and capitalizing on new business and market opportunities, overseeing budgets and P&L, and collaborating with other executives to align commercial activities with overall corporate goals. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: 
    Develop and implement commercial strategies, policies, and initiatives to drive revenue, growth, and profitability. 
     
  • Team Management: 
    Lead and coach commercial teams (sales, marketing, business development) to ensure high performance, professional development, and a collaborative work environment. 
     
  • Business Development: 
    Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market trends, and strategic partnerships to expand the company's reach. 
     
  • Financial Oversight: 
    Manage the commercial budget, monitor financial performance against targets, and make data-driven decisions to optimize operations. 
     
  • Stakeholder Relations: 
    Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and the board of directors. 
     
  • Market Analysis: 
    Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities. 
     
  • Executive Collaboration: 
    Work closely with the President and other senior leaders to set objectives and align commercial initiatives with the company's overall vision and strategic goals. 
     
Essential Skills and Qualifications: 
 
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong strategic planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, sales processes, and business development.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets and assess profitability.
