Job Title - Sales Manager
Reporting to DGM Sales
Location - Mumbai
Job Summary
The Project Sales Manager – AAC Blocks will be responsible for driving project-based sales by engaging with builders, developers, contractors, architects, consultants, and institutional clients. The role focuses on specification, tendering, order conversion, and execution of AAC block supply for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Sales & Business Development
- Identify, track, and develop upcoming construction projects in the assigned territory.
- Generate business through builders, developers, EPC contractors, and institutional clients.
- Achieve monthly and annual project sales volume and value targets.
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
Specification & Influencer Management
- Get AAC blocks specified with architects, consultants, and structural engineers.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and site meetings.
- Promote AAC block advantages (lightweight, thermal insulation, faster construction, cost efficiency).
Tendering & Order Closure
- Participate in project tenders and negotiate commercial terms.
- Coordinate with internal teams for approvals, pricing, and credit limits.
- Close orders and ensure timely release of purchase orders.
Project Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate with plant, logistics, and dispatch teams for smooth and timely deliveries.
- Ensure proper material planning as per project schedules.
- Handle site-level issues related to quality, quantity, or delivery timelines.
Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with key project stakeholders.
- Act as a single point of contact for assigned projects.
- Support repeat business and reference projects.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and alternate materials (red bricks, CLC blocks, etc.).
- Maintain project pipeline, forecasts, and MIS reports.
- Track collections and coordinate with accounts for timely payments.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of project sales cycles in construction materials.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to read drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
- Result-oriented with strong follow-up and closure skills.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in Civil Engineering preferred.
- MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–12 years of experience in project sales of AAC blocks, RMC, cement, blocks, or construction materials.
- Proven experience handling large residential and commercial projects.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong network with builders, developers, architects, consultants, and contractors.
- Experience in specification-driven sales.
- Willingness to travel extensively for project tracking and site visits.
