Job Description:
An Office Peon provides essential support by maintaining office cleanliness, running errands, handling files, and serving refreshments to staff and visitors. Key duties include photocopying documents, delivering mail, maintaining office hygiene (sweeping/mopping), and assisting administrative staff with daily operational tasks to ensure smooth office functioning.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Office Maintenance: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning furniture, and maintaining general hygiene in workspaces and meeting rooms.
- Administrative Support: Photocopying, scanning, filing, and transporting files/documents between departments.
- Errands: Delivering documents, packages, or letters to other offices, banks, or post offices.
- Pantry Duties: Serving water, tea, coffee, and refreshments to staff and visitors.
- Equipment Care: Assisting in the maintenance and repair of office equipment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Generally requires a 10th Standard (Matriculation) or High School diploma.
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is often preferred, but not mandatory.
- Skills: Reliable, polite, hardworking, and able to work independently.
- Physical Ability: Good physical stamina for moving files and performing manual tasks.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, typically on-site, requiring consistent attendance.
