Job Description:
A Sales Telecaller for a steel trader initiates outbound calls to prospective clients, manages inbound inquiries, and promotes steel products (pipes, structural steel, sheets) to meet sales targets. They are responsible for generating leads, negotiating deals, maintaining customer databases (CRM), and providing product information.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Outbound Sales & Lead Generation: Cold-calling potential customers (construction firms, manufacturers, contractors) to generate new business and introduce product lines.
- Inbound Query Management: Handling incoming inquiries from potential customers, providing details about product specifications, pricing, and availability.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meeting or exceeding daily/monthly sales volume and call volume targets.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM): Maintaining a database of customer information, updating contact details, and tracking customer requirements.
- Negotiation & Closing: Engaging in price negotiations with clients to close sales deals over the phone.
- Documentation: Generating sales orders, preparing quotations, and ensuring accurate data entry into CRM or ERP systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Exceptional verbal communication in Hindi, English, or local languages, with strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of steel materials, types (e.g., TMT bars, sheets), and industry terminology.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to use MS Office (Excel/Word) and CRM tools.
- Experience: Previous experience (e.g., 6 months minimum) in telecalling or sales, ideally with a background in steel or manufacturing sales.
- Education: High school diploma, 12th pass, or higher.
- Disposition: Confident, polite, and comfortable with high-pressure sales environments
