Job Description:
A Sales Manager in the paint industry drives revenue growth by managing dealer networks, securing project sales with builders/architects, and meeting monthly/annual targets. They lead sales teams, implement marketing strategies, conduct product demos, and ensure payment collection, typically requiring 5+ years of experience in decorative or industrial coatings. Core Responsibilities
  • Sales Target Achievement: Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales volume and value targets.
  • Dealer & Network Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and influencers (architects, contractors) to expand market presence.
  • Project Sales Development: Identify and secure business from new construction projects, builders, and developers.
  • Market Intelligence & Growth: Analyze market trends, monitor competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of sales executives/officers (DSRs) to achieve branch or depot performance targets.
  • Operational Control: Ensure timely order booking, payment collection, inventory management, and address customer complaints. 
Key Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience (2-4 years) in sales management, specifically in the paints, construction chemicals, or allied coatings industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, combined with proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of paint products, application techniques, and dealer networks.

  • Education: Graduate / MBA in Marketing.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively and potentially relocate.
  • Internal: Marketing, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
  • External: Dealers, Distributors, Architects, Applicators, and Contractors.
