Job Description:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify, evaluate, and develop potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Technical Sourcing: Review Engineering Material Requests (MR) and specifications to ensure procured items meet technical, operational, and safety standards.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Purchase Execution: Manage the entire procurement process, including issuing RFQs (Request for Quotes), preparing comparative statements, and placing Purchase Orders (PO).
- Expediting & Logistics: Monitor vendor performance, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery, and resolve logistics or quality issues.
- Cost Management: Conduct cost analysis and track expenses to keep purchases within the allocated project budget.
- Vendor Management: Maintain and update a reliable supplier database, conduct audits, and manage supplier relationships.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with production, design, and project management teams to forecast material needs and align procurement with project schedules.
