Job Description:
A Marketing/Sales Executive for steel traders drives revenue by identifying business opportunities, acquiring new clients, and managing relationships with contractors, builders, and industrial buyers. They are responsible for meeting sales targets, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely deliveries and payment collections. [1, 2]
Core Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and acquire new clients across construction, infrastructure, real estate, and manufacturing sectors.
- Sales & Negotiation: Generate inquiries, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and close deals.
- Channel Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and end-users.
- Order & Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of steel materials (e.g., TMT bars, structural steel, plates, and pipes).
- Payment Follow-ups: Manage receivables, track outstanding dues, and ensure timely payment collection.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market demand. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Key Skills & Requirements
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with structural steel, TMT bars, sheets, coils, or pipes.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: 1 to 5+ years of B2B field sales, specifically in industrial products, building materials, or the steel sector.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or a related business field.
