Job Description:
A Wholesale Sales Officer is a B2B (business-to-business) sales professional responsible for expanding the client base, managing relationships with retailers, and driving bulk product sales within a designated territory. They negotiate pricing, close deals, and collaborate with logistics to ensure timely product delivery and brand visibility. [1]
Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and pitch products to new retail stores, wholesale buyers, and commercial accounts.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong, long-lasting partnerships with existing B2B clients to encourage repeat orders.
  • Target Achievement: Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales volume and revenue targets.
  • Negotiation & Pricing: Negotiate prices, credit terms, and delivery schedules to close profitable deals.
  • Market Mapping: Analyze the local retail landscape, map competitor activity, and identify untapped market segments.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with marketing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure prompt and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends using CRM Platforms. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Essential Requirements
  • Experience: Typically 1 to 3 years of experience in B2B field sales, wholesale distribution, or FMCG environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent on-the-job experience).
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, persuasion, and consultative sales skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Total sales volume/revenue generated vs. assigned quotas.
