Job Description:
A Sales & Marketing Officer for an industrial supplier drives B2B revenue and market growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and executing promotional strategies. They bridge the gap between production and customers, ensuring product solutions meet exact client specifications and driving sales pipelines. [1, 2, 3]
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target new industrial clients, contractors, and institutional buyers through cold outreach, networking, and market research. [1, 2, 3]
  • Client Relationship Management: Manage key accounts, conduct site visits, understand client requirements, and provide customized technical/commercial proposals. [1, 2]
  • Sales Target Achievement: Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas. [1, 2]
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze competitor pricing, product offerings, and market trends to adjust local sales strategies. [1, 2, 3]
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and on-time product delivery. [1, 2]
  • Payment Collection: Assist the finance team by following up on outstanding invoices, managing credit terms, and ensuring timely payment receipts. [1]
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred for technical products).
  • Experience: 2–5+ years in B2B sales, industrial marketing, or channel management.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and clearly explain technical specifications of industrial products to potential buyers.
  • Communication: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Total revenue generated against assigned targets.
  • Number of new qualified leads and client conversions.
  • Customer retention rate and account growth.
