Job Description:
A Steel Company Sales Executive drives revenue by generating B2B leads, managing dealer networks, and closing deals. They manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to payment collection—while coordinating with logistics to ensure timely delivery of TMT bars, structural steel, or raw materials to construction sites and plants. Core Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and target new business opportunities with contractors, builders, infrastructure developers, and industrial plants.
- Channel Management: Develop and support dealer and distributor networks, maintaining strong relationships to maximize market share.
- Sales Cycle Management: Handle negotiations, generate quotations, secure purchase orders, and close deals.
- Payment Collection: Follow up on accounts receivable, manage credit terms, and ensure timely payment collection.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and product demand to shape effective sales strategies. [1, 2, 3]
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of field sales experience in building materials, industrial steel, or structural steel.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration/Marketing.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of steel products (TMT, MS pipes, beams, channels) and ability to read structural drawings is highly desired.
