Job Description:
  • Designation – Data & Market Analyst
  • Qualification – Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably Statistics, Quantitative Theory
  • Work Timings – 10:00 AM to 6 : 30 PM
  • Working Days – Monday to Saturday (2nd and 3rd off)
  • Work Location –  BKC
  • Salary – Best in industry

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Petrochemical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, particularly within the petrochemical industry. The role will involve collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to petrochemical flows, market trends, and industry dynamics to inform strategic decision-making and optimize operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources, including internal databases, industry reports, and external data providers.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of petrochemical imports, exports and inventory positions across various ports and market trends to identify patterns, correlations, and insights.
  • Develop and maintain predictive models, algorithms, and statistical tools to forecast market demand, pricing fluctuations, and demand trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, logistics, and finance, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for optimizing performance and mitigating risks.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the petrochemical sector, and integrate relevant insights into analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Continuously assess and enhance data collection methods, analytical techniques, and modeling approaches to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Analyze data to enhance sales efficiency by gathering, organizing and interpreting data to better understand business constraints and providing solutions to take effective decisions.
  • Analyze historical data and help in forecasting to identify trends and make business recommendations.
  • Research and monitor global petrochemical markets, including supply, demand, pricing, and competitive dynamics, to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, such as industry reports, market surveys, trade publications, and economic indicators, to develop a comprehensive understanding of market conditions.
  • Utilize statistical techniques, forecasting models, and data visualization tools to interpret market data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare regular reports, presentations, and market updates for internal stakeholders, including senior management, sales teams, and business development units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance, to align market insights with business strategies and objectives.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking studies to evaluate market positioning, pricing strategies, and product differentiation opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends affecting the petrochemical market, and communicate relevant insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess potential growth opportunities, market segments, and customer needs to support strategic planning and new business initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in market or data analysis, preferably within the petrochemical, chemical or related industries.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with petrochemical processes, products, markets, and industry dynamics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data modeling, machine learning, and/or optimization techniques is a plus.
